We are strength.
Emotional wellness is vital for everyone, and especially Black men and women because of the unique challenges and inequalities we face in society.
It is essential we understand and develop the tools and practices we need to become (and remain) emotionally well and mentally fit to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
There is a lack of culturally specific emotional and mental wellness services for Black people, consequently we do not always receive the information and support we need to thrive and achieve.
I therefore bring you We are Strength; a company aimed at inspiring, empowering and encouraging Black men and Black women to develop high levels of emotional wellness, resilience and mental fitness.
‘We are Strength’ is a culturally relevant wellness blog aimed at Black men and women, however, people of all colours and ethnicities are warmly welcome and will absolutely benefit from the insights and information provided.

It is important for people to know about the person they’re receiving information from.
I am a Black woman, I have raised two Black Men and I am passionate about supporting others with their emotional wellness and resilience.
I have a degree in social policy, two post-graduate qualifications- one in teaching and the other in counselling, I am a trained coach and I am currently studying a Masters Degree in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing. For most of my professional career I have worked in roles supporting vulnerable children and families.
I believe without emotional wellness we cannot live happy and fulfilling lives, so I spend my time researching and studying emotional wellbeing and mental fitness, in order to thrive, develop and encourage others.
